i believe its on the back of the trike, under the seat behind the airbox. its a finned aluminum box. thats on the electric start models(200m). although after looking at partsfish, i can't seem to find one. so that trike may not have one and in that case you'd need to have the rear light functional so the voltage drops enough.

I just checked the wiring diagram in my Clymer's manual, and that trike does not have a voltage regulator.

Are you using the correct headlight bulb? If you are using a lower wattage bulb that could be your problem. The stock bulb is a 45W/45W

You could use a regulator off of a 350X.

i am not sure the wattgae of the bulb, i just bought the headlight assembly new, it is aftermarket though, and not sure what wattage came with it.

The 200s's do not have a voltage regulator.

Check the bulb. I have sold many New Aftermarket Head light assemblies and they normally come with a 6volt bulb. A picture of the headlights I have sold is below.

You can get a voltage regulator from dennis kirk for $15.00. I got one fron Rickey Stator for the same $. It seems to help, it is easy to install also.
