Toasted Flywheel (with pics)!

To make a long story short..I picked up a parts honda 110 for $50 on Friday. The guy told me the motor was frozen. When I got it home, I pulled the flywheel and....I'll let the pictures speak for themselves.

Looks like someone didn't get the recoil back together right, and the catch slipped behind the flywheel and ripped the coils off the stator. Has anyone ever seen this before?

i had a 110 do that a loong time ago. did it rip the case at all?

nope! didn't look like it did any damage other than to the stator and flywheel. in fact, after i removed the coils, the motor spun freely and had like 150lbs of compression.

At least its an easy fix!

that is roached in there.but it's an easy fix on a 50 dollar machine.
