1986 250es big red

i can not get my 250es big red to fire i thiught it might be the coil but it is not, it is not fireing took the plug out and grounded it to the frame and there is no spark, also took plug wire and stuck screwdriver in it and grounded it to the frame no spark. dose anyone know what the problem is or what i should check.. i cut the fuel on did everything i thought possible but there is no fire at the spark plug. i notice when i switch it on i have to wiggle the key to get the neutral light to come on.....any suggestions

i want fire checked the coil it is fine can,t figure it out

i notice you have to wiggle the key to get the neutral light to come on could this be the reason the plug ain,t fireing ????
