i have been trying for almost 8 hours to get my '85 atc 110 to idle correctly. I already read some other threads and found where the main jet idle screw should be set at and when its in the correct spot(according to the manual) it idles fine but boggs down when i hit the throttle and when i shift out of neutral it starts to go like its idleing to high for the clutch.

Could be an air leak. Have you tried a new plug?

check and clean the secondary jet also, I would clean the carb an extra time and look for anything in the main jet and checking the float needle jet as well

well your running rich on fuel, could be clogged air filter, wrong setting on the air mix screw, float set to high.or could be electrical, but dont focus on that yet.
