hey guys how's it going ? lol well it's almost winter time up here in northern ontario so i figured i'd use the winter months to completely tear my machine apart and fix everything from the frame up. I'm planning on tearing it down right to the frame as the frame itself need to go out for repair; No knowledge on what happened to it but as you can see in the pics one side was put back together with angle iron, and the other side was welded back together again along with both sides at the front of the engine. it's obviously been abuse and not maintained, but it runs strong and other than 2 circles for sprockets, i had to do nothing to it since i've acquired it about 3 months ago. so after a long story lol time to get to half the reason for my post. I'm obviously completely rebuilding the engine, and my plan is to kinda make it a sleeper, so i'm just wondering what parts i can swap/ buy to achieve this. not sure if i want to get it bored or not yet, but i'm kinda looking to do with out that for now if i can. so yeah other then that this beast has no brakes, the head leakes from all ends, carb is dirty as heck i'm sure, all my bearings are worn pretty bad, the usual case for an abused trike i suppose. I'm looking to start in november and finish by the end of january mid febuary. so any input is greatly appreciated, and i'll definatly keep you's all posted!!!!!

You really have to be careful hopping these engines up. The semi auto clutches can't take alot of extra power. I would find a nice used replacement frame first of all and go from there. Find you some better plastics for sure and go through and replace all your front and rear axle bearings and your steering head bearings as well. Paint your assemblies as you clean them up, like your rear bearing carrier. Get yourself some new brake cables and new brake shoes and clean and paint all that up as you fix it. I would save your money for any exotic mods right now and just get it back into proper running condition. Replace all the top end gaskets at the very least and while you have the head and cylinder apart, check them for factory specs and take whatever steps you need to get it all back in running condition. Several oil changes at least and replace any oil filter and filter screen. Pull the clutch cover off and make sure your engine is nice and cleaned out and install a new clutch cover gasket. Pull the stator cover off and make sure that is all cleaned out and replace that gasket as well. New tires and paint wheels when you replace the tires. Check your wiring harness and make any necessary reapirs you might need. Get your lights in working order. Once you get it all cleaned up and running right, you will be surprised at the power you pick up. Then once you get it all the way it should be, then you can decide if you want to put more money in it then. Pick you up a manual before you do anything though. Make sure you have a decent set of metric wrenches and a nice "clicking" torque wrench will help you tons as well. Best of luck with your project and have fun. Take lots of pics and keep us posted.
