So I got the new Ricky Stator and flywheel setup. Got it in and she started right up. She was running sweet for about 20 minutes when it died on a speed test down my road. Sent it in and received a new setup and well it just doesnt want to go in correctly it seems and I just couldnt get any spark. Bolt broke in the crank shaft and all that using the Tecate Puller. Got disgusted with it and put her away for another year. Gonna take her in to get going but am wondering what should I be looking for with problems related to the major blow out of the 1st stator and flywheel? Could it have fried my CDI or coil or anyrthing else. Im tired of having this useless Tecate that I cant ride. Any ideas would be appreciated.:wondering I cant find my original stator and flywheel and for some reason I feel Ricky sent me the wrong setup the second time around. It just didnt seem to go far enough onto the shaft and no spark. Of course the 2nd one wasnt loc tighted either. Im pissed about that.

You could always go PVL and you wouldn't have to worry about it any more. Faster too.

My Ricky Stator setup has been running fine for 24 years. Have you contacted them to trade it in for another one? Have you tried checking the coil, and the cdi with a multimeter? You could narrow it down that way.

When you do get it apart check for damage on the crankshaft, a burr or galling on the shaft may cause things not to mount up properly.
