So I thought I would post the TRI-Z I just finished. I bought this back in 2006 for $360. It ran well was just really ugly. So I decided to tear it down about a year ago and clean it up. It got fully powder coated and a few parts pollished, a warrior shock, red fuel line, and a Mikuni TMX38 which I'm thinking about taking off. I might mess around with the gearing first before I go back to the stock carb. I will add some pictures of the process.105138105145105142105140105139105147105143 105141105146105144105148105149105150105151

TMX carb....:wonderingNot my first choice for a carb. A 38 should work fine with proper tune. The pwk series is a much better choice imo. A much more user friendly design. The stock 32 works well for general use, but will hold back the mid/top hook.:naughty:

That's nice. Looks like it'd be fun to rip around on.

Thanks guys. Forgot to mention I used a stainless bolt kit on it. I agree it needs some new tires and wheels and of course lights will come some time down the road. It's the stock pipe just sand blasted with high temp header paint in red. I will eventually get a new pipe for it just don't have the funds at the moment. As far as the carb goes, a guy was selling it locally for like $30 bucks. I thought for $30 why not give it a shot. Final plans to finish the project will include new handlebars, pipe, white shrouds and air cover through DC plastics and of course what other random goodies I eventually pick up for it. Overall it runs really well, I had it out to the dunes last weekend and it ripped it up.

For those who don't know DC plastics now carries front fender, air filter cover, and shrouds in any color they carry for only about $50 for each piece. Dont bother asking them about the headlight bezel, they can't make it. Something about their molding machine.

Thanks.

It's a 1979 Honda Express. Little thing has a 49cc motor and yes it's slow. I bought it off some kid lide 8 years ago for $25. Used to run good but now it needs a lot of carb work.

Ya I threw that picture in there on purpose. When mom was working my son got a lot of pack n play time. He loved it though being outside and being next to his dad.

An all Red Z would look nice!!
