Check denniskirk.com they have the air filters and also carry some aftermarket carbs.

that carb won't fit, there is no "correct manifold"

 yes the carb does fit, plenty of people have run them on 200x's for ages. I didn't have the measurments for the correct intake, but if it isn't shown on that page I"m sure they have one that will, I think white brothers sells one too.

maybe you saw it fit sometime or somewhere but for that to fit, you need a custom manifold and/or dimple the frame where it passes by the carb....I just don't want someone going out buying a carb and intake boot with thoughts of a simple installization and saying "he said it fits"???

The 28 flatslide will fit on it! I used to run a 32mm Lectron and I didn't have to notch the frame or anything. Of course, my intake was made for the Lectron to match the 200X head and to clear the frame, and the Lectron is a lot wider than the flatslide. The flatslide will fit with the correct intake as Pump was saying.

those manifolds are no longer available. if you have some, I will buy all!

I know tons of people that have run this carb, and alot of them have said that they bought the carb AND intake from proflo, although I have never done so myself. I was never intending to say to anyone that a 28mm carb would always be a direct bolt on, obviously the frame may need to be dimpled as you said, or various other things that usually happen when you modify anything from the way it came stock. This is still a good carb for the application, and it doesn't break the bank on the cost. On smaller carbs such as a 26mm that came stock on the xr200's the stock 200x manifold can be modified to fit, I know a person or two on this board that have done that, but that probably wouldn't work on a 28mm. Get in touch with markb, he has tinkered more with this than anyone else I have seen on the boards, and there are tons of pics on this post...

it looks like to me he simply used radiator hose with some clamps and then chopped off his stock intake at the head and used that. He claims the vm carb to be a much easier upgrade as far as fitting and such, but I don't think it would have quite the performance of a flatslide. Good luck with your projects.

By dimpling the frame do you mean denting it? And would this weaken the frame at all? And also, thank you for your help.

I don't think it makes it stronger.... The carb change is not a snap, but it makes a big difference. The best way would be to make a custom manifold out of aluminum. But who would make it for you? How much? All I am saying, is there is no correct manifold available. Someone from here told me to get a certain carb and manifold and it would "bolt right up" .... not by a long shot! I just want you to be informed before you begin. Hope I have helped you.
