Big Difference on the wheelers.Same motor and tranny. The sx has a much smaller frame and of course lighter(Sport Trike) Big red is large and in charge.(UTILITY).I own a 1985 Big Red. Im currently doing a partial restore, nothing fancy,Its my hunting machine.I also own a 1987 250sx.I love it.I dont think you will be dissappointed unless you are 6'5 300lbs.It might be a little small for you.Good luck.Finding a good one is tough these days.Mine is in really good condition. It cost me,but considering It was really reasonable.

I have 2 of each that run right now (i think)
both models have racks so I just get on whichever i can find the key for and go do stuff, chainsaws, dragging logs etc.
The sx is a little more squirrely for stupid, heavy and dangerous utility work but you gotta pay attention anyway.
Bottom line for me personally is One es will fill a full sized truck and 2 sx's will fit for those trips to the dunes.
Both models are extremely impressive and I'll jump on either one for any reason.
BR seems a tad heavier and a little wider but waaay faster than I'll ever need.

I've got an 85 sx, and I love it!!! It is shaft drive and I'm 6'5 and 275lbs and I'm not dissapointed in the least! I've ridden my buddies big red and its a blast too, but I love my sx you just can't beat it.

Hi
The original sales brochures are on here somewhere.
They changed so much stuff so frequently, it's hard to keep track.
A favorite hobby is to figure out which parts interchange on the 'off chance' you wind up with more than one trike and can use known working parts to swap.
A separate thread topic specific to the 200 may get more of a response since this one started as 250 and is a completely different animal.
