Honda 350X/XR500 Big Bore kit

I've heard the 78-82 XL/XR 500 big bore sleeve will work on a 85-86 350X. Does anyone know for sure if this will work? Im looking to build a high 400cc, 350x and looking for different options. Thanks

You can sleeve the 350x cylinder with that, but that head would be pretty restrictive at that point I would think. Then the sleeve needs to be cut down to fit the cylinder.

Head flow is not a problem, the mad scientist and I is working on a HV (high velosity) port job for a 350x. Off the same design of our drag bikes.

We releeve up to 108mm sleeves in our raptors so its nothing new to me i just need to know if the XL/XR 500 big bore sleeve will work or if anyone has done it on here. Thanks

My buddy has a 500cc TC built 350x and it a beast! Smoke 450s and anything that pulls up beside it. I talked to mickey dunlap today, im going to call Tom at TC monday and see what he has to say.

Smoking a built up 450 is no big deal with a big 350 motor. My buddy was once sponsored by TC and I can tell you one thing for sure. The motor he (or any builder) will sell you is NOT the same motor that his riders get. My porter has seen Toms sponsored heads and that's what I have, but he don't do side work anymore for anyone other then friends.

Well it dont matter i have a head porter in my back pocket that does all my drag bike heads and cuztom grind cams. If all else fails he will do it. Only reason i havent asked is im wanting to get some prices and info on people that have already done them.
