hey, I have slow top end, even though it sounds clean. I took off the reeds and I dont see anything really wrong with them. But thats my question, I dont really know what they SHouLD look like.

These are set into a steel block, and on the triangle their are 6 steel flippers, they are basicaly flat on the steel base, all the way up towards the top.

How ever, setting behind those are 6 gold hard steel. They dont move and as Im guessing provide support for the high end of the reeds. These all have a curve to them, which is greatest at the very top of the triangle.

Is that how they are supposed to look? Or should the gold hard steel peices be flatter?

Well it does pretty much, but are those hard golden plates straight? Or bent, mine are like )| on the base, except there is one flat side...

The outer ones are curved. They limit how far the flaps will open under vacuum. The flat steel ones can be replaced with aftermarket ones made of a fiber type material, such as Boysen Power Reeds. The fiber reeds tend to improve top end throttle response. They also tend to make it run richer, in my experience, and you may have to drop a carb main jet size after installing fiber reeds.
