hi guys!
I once again am in need of your wisdom, I want to know if adding wheel hub spacers to the hubs on the back axle of my 1985 250sx will make it more stable while cornering , and running the occasional side-hill ?, and if so what size spacers should i get", i was thinking 2"-3", and also what brand? I am running nanco 22X11.00-8 stag-knobbie tires in the back.here's a pic.!
thanks!

YES! it will make it much more sporty in the handling department. My friend who goes by Chillian here bought wheel stud extenders for his SX. They are a much cheaper alternative to the actual hub spacers. He has had no issues whatsoever with these. And as long as you arent trying to land big jumps i wouldnt hesitate to use these if you are on a limited budget. Here they are...

i like your seat =P haha
also putting a wider offset rim on there will make it wider and therefore handle better. its convenient if u happen to need rims. i notice a large improvement when swapping from stock rims on my 110

fabiodriven has spoken.....Actually before I got to his post that was on my mind. Those rounded tires have pretty much been repaced on all the trail trikes I could so far in our stable. A more flat-surfaced tire helps. My daughters 200 auto-x and my Tecate (ours are also lowered for stability).

I ordered a set of these spacers for my SX.

The bike has some 22' knobbies on it right now, but i already ordered a new sets of wheels that im gonna get some 20" tires for. Spacers and some smaller tires should help out alot.

Oh dear god, not like these I hope- http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/3-ATV-Wheel-Spacers-Yamaha-Raptor-50-80-_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQhashZitem1e5e4f7160QQitemZ13043 1283552QQptZMotorsQ5fATVQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories
(I know these are not for his model, it's just a reference)

Those are made for the front of quads and I'm not sure I would even use them in that application.

The SX is what 350 - 375lbs?? plus your weight? careful what you do to extend that axle, more force on the axle and bearings. They have 2 outer bearings in STOCK form........

I wouldn't jump for sure............I'd get another model for that and with the SX or ES, even hopping over logs, your putting 500- 600lbs on those extension studs.

Somethings gotta give!
