I have both frames from 1983 tri175 and tri125, are the frames the same? 125 frame has damage, the tri175 engine needs a complete overhaul, with trans locked up as well. Both bikes are complete, they've been sitting outside for at least 6 years. The 125 runs great, which is why the frame swap.

Yup, they're the same. The 80-81 YT125 is different. they made the 125/175 frames the same in '82/'83

Stumper, the 82 and later 125 and 175 should be the same, but if you have both frames, how hard is it to go look and compare? I could see you asking the question if you didn't have both frames. The main thing I'm not sure of is if there is the mount for the 175 fuel pump on the 125 frame. But again, you have both frames, you should be telling us.
