I have a 1984 Kawasaki Tecate. I was wondering what spark plug to run? I took the spark plug out, checked spark, it was fine, but I think I'm running too hot of a plug. Its a NGK B9E S. Does that sound like the right one? What plug would you recommend? Thanx.

If B9ES is too hot, youve got carburetion issues. In case of confusion, with NGK lower number=hotter. Im curious though, if the plug looks good, why do you feel the plug is too hot?

Tim & All. The 9 should be fine. The higher the number with NGK = The colder the plug. The 8 is hotter than the 9.

because the magnets are screwed on (no more busted flywheels) it is also lighter and more powerful!!

KX250 ignition on a Tecate is the best way to go in my opinion too.
