you need to do some research. plastics need adhesion promotors and use flexible paint. also chrome paint, and exhaust? not gonna work. well unless you dont ride it.
the only way to chrome something legit, is to have it dipped in chrome. its a long process.
stainless however could be a good alternative.

Do not paint plastic fenders, It will eventually begin to chip

i think i might just go with a high temp black paint on the pipe. the plastic is fading, and the previous owner took it pretty rough on this thing. is there anything i can do for it?

i dont have a camera right now but on the tool box plastic it looks like someone took something like the size of a needle and cratched it a bunch of times, and the rest of the plastic is basically the same, with my old yt175 i took some steel wool to it and it made it look mint, but i tried with this stuff and i had to stop before i made it fade too much.

not a fan of painting plastics, and exhaust should just use high temp paint.real dip chrome is sweet if you have a shop close by.if plastics arent cracked and broken, people have had luck with refinishing them with sand and buffing

I say punt.... And replace it if you want it to look nice again... Read this awesome link about resoring your plastics.

well i could do that for a little over 300 plus new decals, and first sell the original plastics.

The problem is that even if they shine again, your gonna have a butt-ton of hours into them, they are still going to be brittle... Hate to go through all that work to have them break... (granted this is just my opinion)
