Found a 350x parts bundle for $75, needed the frame or could build it up with my spare engine(s). So I'm stripping it down tonight so I can go fishing at the beach tomorrow hopefully.

Found this:

Anyone know what that plate next to the shock is for? Engine mount in wrong place?
Also, what is the broken 'washer' shaped piece next to the shock for?

Hopefully that broken piece is fixable, as the swingarm hole, left side, seat mounts, and engine mounts are better than my other frame.

Thanks

that is the exhaust mount. it is not that uncommon to brake there. i never had a bolt in mine there for years and never had a problem.

Alright that's good to hear. Except for some caked on dirt and the duct tape??, the frame is better than I hoped. Stripping all paint off it today to get painted and gusseted. My buddies dragged me out to a bar last night....needless to say we had a great drunk time - but my frame didn't get finished. Oops.

Update on the frame:

Some is down to bare metal, no wire wheel or angle grinder or drill makes things more difficult, but it will get done.
