hey guys i just got a 1984 ytm 200e on the side of the road free, the DEC (who the guy worked for) told him he needed a four wheeler now by law. he says all it needs is a carb which i just bought from a member on the site. anyway he says this sap has been on is tank plastic for 10+ yrs. how can i get this off i dont want to use too powerful of anything bc it might fade the decals. im not sure what to do. also is there any way to get scratches off plastics? and what do i use to make the plastics all polished? someone said oven cleaner? the axle seems a tad loose, just like wiggly how do i tighten it? thanks, cody.

There's allot of posts on polishing - use the search feature.
Oven cleaner removes paint from aluminum and such; I'd use a hair dryer or heat gun to remove decals.
You can make that stuff shine like new but the labor is intense and lengthy.
Great score on the free trike :beer
