Went to the dunes for a day of riding, swimming and eating. Weather was perfect, and sand was nice and tight due to the rain the night before. Got to run the Tri-z hard, but came away a bit disappointed at power output. It runs extremely well, and is the smoothest 2502t engine ive ever had. But WOT power is soft..........imo. But everyone came home in one piece, and all machines ran well. The QR500 suffered the only failure at the end of the day. Think the big pin bearing failed due to age. Slowly got very loud in the bottom end and it was shut down before complete failure. Gonna git back out there Sep 17.

Man, looks like a blast. Really wish I could have made this ride. Unfortunately if conflicted with another ride. Although I prolly would not have had too much fun considering my Blue R roached the top end this weekend. Please post a date up for the next ride and I'll mark my calander. Not sure if I'll have a ride though.

Rick, we're headin' back next month on the 17th to ride on Saturday. Shannon started a thread on the ride forum a while back about this. This particular ride was kind of a spur of the moment deal. I had some other plans , but unfortunately they didn't pan out...... So, we were "gittin' it" in Michigan. I hope everyone can make it out to the next ride since there is plenty of time to plan and make accomodations. It's a great way to kick off the end of summer, and the beautiful sands of Silver Lake Michigan seldom dissapoint. So write it down. We hope to see many new faces, and LOTS of 3wheelers. Remember, to have a functional spark arrestor too.........Holler if you're in!
