Hey badtriz, I've got a 38mm Mikuni Flat Slide laying around that I was running on my 84 KXT. I'd like to get it onto my Tri-Z. What intake boot did you get? I've heard you need one from an IT250. Just curious what you ended up using.

I have a 38mm FlatSlide on my 86 Tecate and have run anything from a 280 to a 300 Main Jet. I have never run bigger than a 300. This is on a portd, piped bike.

all i did to get the carb to fit was to take a blow dryer and heat the boot up for a couple of minutes and then just shove it on. it takes a little bit, but it will go with no ripping and after its been on for awhile, it goes on like a stock one would

I had a Mic 38mmTMX flatslider on my 400L, great carb ..... I think I ran a 340 main - can't remember if that was in the winter or not.

mine runs fine on top end with the 390 in it, but it smokes pretty good. the other day i took the reeds out and the crank was right full of fuel, and it wouldn't start.
