1st gan 200x kicker mods-improvement help

I have one of my spare 1st gen 200x engines apart for a complete rebuilt. I don't recall the kicker ever slipping, but my memory isn't what it used to be. Is there any way to improve the kicker mechanism? I remember reading something about the kicker spring or something. Just want to make sure before I put the cases back together tomorrw evening. They had weak kicker springs honda made a updated kicker spring back in the day they are no longer available. Ask around someone may have an updated spring on here.

Hey, thanks Mike. That was the thread I was looking for. I remember seeing it a long time ago, but just couldn't find it. I will definately check the mesh on the kicker gears. I'll back-cut em like the thread says later this afternoon. Also try to remember to snap some before and after pics too. Thanks again, Matt.
