Hi. I have an '85 Honda 250sx with a completely rusted and pitted gas tank. I bought a plastic tank from G&H and it doesn't fit. Anyone else have this problem? Any tips on how to make it fit?
Thanks!

They said it was. They said no one has ever had a problem with the plastic ones. I'm just curious if that's true. Maybe the one I have is messed up?

I think it's a lemon. Sending it back and trying again.

The replacement sx plastic tank I had got lasted about 1/2 hour at the Badlands in Indiana. first ride, first trip with it. It is really a wonder how did not catch a fire dripping fuel right on the exhaust.
This was several years ago and sold the whole machine very shortly after that but basically it was a peice of crap fit right out of the box.
Got some of that 2 part rub it together epoxy stuff from uptown Attica to patch up the rub hole at the mount area. Yep, real piece of crap work. I am very sure it was a Clark tank.

well,- i'll add that i've bought 2 clarke tanks(plastic) but for the 85/86 atc 250r. neither would line up right for the bolts to go thru.the holes were about 1/4" off,-enough to not bolt up no matter what. i had to fab up 2 strips of aluminum 1/4" to fit under the bracket on each side (on the front tabs)to make up the difference in length (hole to hole). these were bought at different times too.
