http://www.cpsc.gov/businfo/frnotices/fr06/066703.pdf
heres a quote that really got me pissed off.
SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION:
A. Background
The Commission is proposing rules
that will cover single-rider ATVs,
tandem ATVs (intended for two people)
and ATVs intended for children under
16 years of age.1 These proposed rules
include proposed standards that specify
mechanical requirements for ATVs and
informational requirements so that ATV
purchasers and operators will have
safety information about ATVs. The
Commission is also proposing to ban
three-wheeled ATVs. The Commission
believes that these proposed rules are
necessary to address an unreasonable
risk of injury and death associated with
ATVs.

this happened with the - CPSIA (Consumer Product Safety Act of 2008)
It was snuck into the lead paint bill. This bill is responsible for getting rid of ATVs and mini bikes for all kids under 12. It also took all used toys off the shelf at every Goodwill store - it was a terrible bill and it passed!
Bunch or tards running this country and voting on these bills!

our government is our enemy america is americas enemy we are at war with ourselves
our government keeps secrets from its own people i think our government needs to be cleaned up too many greedy A-holes are in it for their own benefits and dont care about others.
the cpsc is trailprotrailprotrailprotrailprotrailprotrailpro things up theyre is many things out there more dangerouse than a trike and the cpsc dont listen, the cpsc is arrogant
anything that involves injury from human judgment error is not a threat the cpsc is supposed to recall hazardouse products that can cause serious injury when used properly.
a good amount of people misuse products so the cpsc has to ruin it for everyone.

aaaah now your interest in 3 wheelers has led you to the conclusion that more and more people are coming to lately: the government is worthless, is made up of power hungry, overpaid buereaucrats who know only how to take your money and limit your freedoms.

We just need to throw out the entire government, fire and hang everyone involved in it, and rebuild it.

you said that before me.
if our people really wanted to we could overthrow the currupt government while we still got the power as soon as they take away everything from us its over and theyre outnumbered big time.

We the people are suppose to be involved in our government. I voted in the last election. Does this mean I'm involved in the government and you want to hang me? Here is a better suggestion. Why don't you hang the people who are not involved in government? You know, all the people that don't vote, but then complain when they don't get their way or things don't go right. That sounds like a deal. Nothing worse then apothetic complainers. The guy I voted for didn't win. The last person I wanted as president won. But sadly, all these people that are messing up the government had to be voted in by someone. No one ever votes for these total losers, yet they still somehow manage to get elected???? There are so many more important things to worry about than a 20 plus year old voluntary ban. Why do some people insist on kicking a dead horse here. The ban is history and it was history before some of the complainers here were even born. If you don't like what's happening in government, change it. Vote. Run for office. Become an elected official and change things. I dare you. I double dog dare. Just quit wasting bandwidth on these stupid rants. If you don't want to change things, STFU.

That's the problem, they aren't thinking. They just rant to rant. I'm not perfect. I'm not a college grad or anything. I try to spell things and punctuate correctly, but I'm sure my stuff isn't 100%. Yet the biggest ranters on here make no attempt at even trying to spell or puncuate at all. You want to worry about something, worry about your grammar. Portland 250r, give some people a break here dude. There are plent of political websites on here that I guarantee would have a field day with some of your ramblings. The ban was voluntarily adhered to. The big trike makers were pretty much on the downhill slide and quads were hitting the showrooms. Trikes wouldn't have lasted much longer anyways. When the AMA quit supporting trikes it was all over but the crying. It's a done deal. It's in the history books. No big bike maker will make trikes again. Why would they? Theres' no money in it and that is what it boils down to, the almighty dollar. But that doesn't seem to sink into you. Alot of people were irresponsible. The majority of the people want to be baby sitted and resided over. If they didn't, these things wouldn't be. People want losers. But then again, show me other candidates who are better, please. Quit whining. Your such a big promoter of what's messed up, but yet, you do nothing to change it. I still wish we had the thumb up/ thumbs down option on here. I'm all for you having positive things to add to this website. But alot of your rants really need to stop. What's done is done. Any new trikes will be left up to individuals to make or modify. There is no market. There are plenty of parts made by people on here that people say they can't wait to jump on and then when push comes to shove....nothing. Then you have the new parts that people promote the crap out of that never arrive on time and you rarely hear about ever again. The only things that I have seen that even looked like new trikes, were some pitbike type trikes years ago that were crap and there are some pseudo gyro copies that crap makers have for sale. Who cares if they ban that stuff, it's crap. And if I as a parent want my 8 year old child to have a trx450or for their ride, then guess what, I don't need no stinking government officials' permission to do it. But I would supervise my child to make sure they operate it safely and responsibly. And that's what the problem seems to really boil down to. Irresponsible parenting. People who just think the world is a giant Chuck E Cheese or a mall to drop their mistakes at and let them run amok. That's who you need to thank and to hang if that is really your forte. By the way Portland 250r, just how many people have you hung? Since alot of people in the world are still really messed up and have things to do with government, maybe you haven't hung enough. I believe you could be recognized as the worlds' first serial lyncher! How unique. There could be volumes of books published on your valant exploits to rid the world of government misdoers. I'm sure you would have a fan club and hordes of supporters. I truly wish you all the luck in the world. But please get busy with all this hanging soon, as there doesn't seem to be much left of the United States as we once knew. And it can't be very productive for you if you are on here typing with your poor spelling and punctuation and not out ridding the world of misdoers by several feet of rope at a time. You could become the Jack Kavorkian of lynching. All hail Portland 250r!

i only agreed on the part about money hungry officials in the office that don't care about others.
and i would not be the person to hang someone i just agreed.
i need to keep away from political threads cause i take it one step too far.
and this time i used perfect grammar and spelling.

Look man, we all get carried away. I've been called on the mat on here before on a subject I've gotten carried away with. I've tried to tone it down some. But when I see you on here saying some of this, well, needless to say, it hits several nerves. And you have not been the only one, just you have been hitting it the hardest lately. There are right ways and wrong ways to go about doing things. Preaching to the choir on here is the wrong way. Most people are just fed up with all the ramblings. If you want to go about doing things the right way and being more politically active, I'd do what I can to give you my support. But don't come on here stirring crap up for nothing. And trust me, people don't want to hear my rantings any more than yours. We all need to vent at times. But also it's best that others help remind you that this isn't always the best venue to be on for venting certain things. People post items on public forums, but think they should not be commented upon. The key words here are "Public Forums". Even though this is Billys' site and he has ultimate control of it, he often lets alot of things slide and I believe he sort of wants us to control our own destinys to a certain degree, as well as other moderators. If things get way too out of hand, then big brother steps in. But in general, Billy and the other mods usually let nature take it's own course. Too many people on here tend to try and lump alot of other people on here into groups of opinions or ideas that they think others share and it isn't always so. Several people have often said "and I speak for many on here". That's just not the way it is. Even though we on here share a like hobby, we are all individuals. We don't agree on all the same things, which there is not a thing wrong with that at all. But it seems the people that know the least about "the ban" seem to speak up the most about it. Heck, I'm not an expert on "the ban" at all. I remember it. I lived through it. I still have trikes, heck, most everyone on here has trikes or has had or will have again. Consequences of "the ban" affected others way more than me. The racers took it the hardest. The dealers took it hard as well. Dealerships are owned by individuals, not the factory. If you want to get upset by the things that have happened and are happening, you have my blessing to do what you have to do to change it. In fact I encourage you to try and change things for the better. The U.S. needs more people to try and change things for the better. But please, save all rants for constructive purposes. Empty rants are a total drag. And sooner or later, you will have others stirred up and not in your favor. I'm sure you're a good guy. But these types of things don't paint you in a very good light. As you know, every day more and more americans are feeling and saying they have had enough. And in the case of this thread. I've had enough. I do still look forward to other threads in which you can contribute to this site. Don't take this as I never want to see any more threads from you. But please, no more threads like this.
