Ok, after I saw the trike I ended up buying I checked CL and local classified adds looking a the 200x offerings. One 84 for $600 on CL looked appealing but I never got in touch with the owner and bought my non running. This weekend the guy from CL called me back, explained that he was moving out of state and wanted to move the 84 so he would have to haul it to Florida. Common story didn't ride, didn't need and wanted it to go to someone who would use it. It's nice condition, not started in a few years ( would start by die in a few seconds ), plastic is good and some extra parts. CL add http://tricities.craigslist.org/rvs/1883718704.html . Some info from the ad and some from the phone call. But anyway, He's leaving Sunday. I told him to keep trying to sale it and if he still had it to call me back Friday night (he's going to be loading everything Saturday) and I might be able to get it. I do have the money to buy it and I do want it but mine is practically ready to put back together. That $600 would really make the one I have nice (new plastic $250, new tires $200, a headlight shroud $75, grips and handle bars $75). Or, option 3. Find something like a 250ex, big red or 200es? The advantage of something like one of these is I'm pretty sure the wife would ride it, "her" trike $$$ wouldn't come out of "my" toy budget ( she's pretty or I wouldn't put up with her, LOL ).
So, what do you think? 2 clean rider 200x's , 1 really nice 200x ( I hope the bottom end is good ) or diversify my budding collection and have a 2nd bike for the wife ( wife approved hobby's are much better funded , BTW )

yeah dont try and make the decision yourself. let him make it for you. wait till friday night or saturday and offer him $350-$400. if he says no then say thank you very much and have a safe trip to florida. if he agrees then you are the big winner!

I would say I couldn't make it out Friday, but could be there early Saturday. Then lowball him. If he, says no offer him a hand in loading. He will probably cave and you will get a good deal.

I decided to let the world decide if it ends up here or not. I have a small shop that I do some work out of but I let it get a little out of hand and was working myself to death. Now I've started being more selective about what jobs I do and pick and choose the things I do. There is a guy wanting me to do some work for him but it's a hard complicated job and I'm not liking the time frame that I'll be working with. I haven't told him yes or no yet but told him it would be $600 to do it if I did. Come to find out he is a friend of a friend and I hardly ever turn someone that was sent to me down. But anyway, I told my friend last night that I would do the other guys work for the trike. He would have to buy it and I would take it as payment when I finished his work. The guy who owns the trike called and said he would take 500 today so he didn't have to haul it. I didn't low ball him, he offered to come down. Now it's all up to them. He can pay me 6 cash or with the trike that he can buy for 5 or less. I haven't heard anything either way but I was told dude was a trader.
