Whats up guys...... ..
I have a trimoto 175 and I am wanting to purchase some Boyesen Power Reeds. But I think they are different by years, because of the different product numbers. Anyways.... .
How can I identify which year bike do I have.
Thank you in advansce. Mahalos.

Hey thanks Dznutts for responding to my other thread ($200 250 SX). To answer your question, the YT175 was only made 2 years, 1982-83. '82 models will have this serial #:5V700

'83 model has this #:20E00.

The serial # is located on the steering tube, the motor case (can't remember which side right now, but it's definitely there), and if I'm not mistaken, it's also on the reed cage/intake boot assembly. Very little difference in the carbs from the '82 to the '83 model. The YT 175 in my (old) avatar was a mishmash of '82 and '83 parts: '82 motor with '83 carb in an '83 frame. Very fun trike, motor ran excellent and was surprisingly powerful. Unfortunately I had to sell it, needed the money to pay for a replacement motor for my streetbike. Here are the carb specs for both years of the YT175:

Hope this helps.

*Edit: almost forgot to tell you that I have a ton of YT175 parts I need to get rid of. Let me know if you need anything, I'll sell 'em cheap (just need 'em gone), although shipping costs to the Islands has got to be pricey.
