hi, i was wondering what Front ends would work for a 1983 Honda ATC200e, so far i Might be able to get one from a 200s for $50 or i might be able to get a Front end from a 83' 250r, i just have to wait for a price(and get the cash). or i may just go with a spare one i have and hope it don't break.

Bump! Just wondering what the front tire size is for a 1983 250R, i plan on getting the 83' R Front end for my 83' 200E for $60, here is a Pic of it:

Edit: i forgot to mention that he said they are air shocks, Normally run at 4.5 psi but if I want them stiffer they can go up to 12 psi.

Bump, any info on 250R front end swaps on a 200E would be great.

I believe they should work out fine, as I read that the tri z racers were actually swapped out to 250r front ends from what I have measured all of the 125 and up frontends , the shaft is the same length

ok, i have found a big red front end, the guy said he bought it as a spare 2 years ago and he never thought about selling it till he seen the wanted ad i have, it comes with the wheel and all, he will let it go for $50 and he will even deliver, here are some pics:

what do you guys think, i'm thinking of going for the big red cause i'm sure it will fit and it's the same price as the 83R front end ($50) plus it comes with the wheel and delivered.

As long as the steering stem measures out the same, go for it.

They are not all the same. The neck tube is longer on the sport trikes. You have to cut the necks off and reweld from the donor trike. 83 250R is the same as a 200x and it will not fit the fat tire machines.

Actually - I believe the neck tube on the 82, 83, 84 Big reds are longer than sport trike neck tubes.

I think you are correct. I know my front end swap was not a bolt on. One was longer than the other.

Ok, the guy just delivered it to me and it's in good shape, just some minor adjustments need to be made to the shocks or the axle. the price was going to be $50 but he let it go for $40 (He seen the trikes me and my brother got so he said he knows it's going to a place where it would be enjoyed), will go down and take pics of it myself later. he said that he is also looking for a 250 to fix up, i'm going to email him this weekend with a phone number for a 250 my brother knows is up for sale so i'm thinking about giving him the link to 3WW also, he seams like a nice enough guy.
