in US or that funny Canadian rainbow money? Just kidding, Because it's basket case material you might be able to work em a bit....new tires are nice(but them are Chen Chin's and come cheap) but really the split cases tells me seller hasn't a clue on rebuild or he/she is broke. Either way deal time is in your favor. Under $400 I'd say a deal...only cause(and it would be a shame) parting it out could yeild at least that. I would still buy it up to $600(but this is me) just do the the fact it looks pretty much complete and it's not in too bad of shape. I really like that yr R and it would be a great project trike. I recomend looking to the site www.airfoolers.com and posting the same thread...they really know parts avaliblity on those early birds...Goodluck hope it works to your favor.

I'd give him $100 cash in hand for it, not any more in that condition..

$200 tops for a 82 in that condition. Thats a good winter project for ya and parts are cheap for the 1st gen. Looks clean and not trashed for the year.

3 new Chen Ching knobbies are $150 - that is a $300 bike all day long!

I'd gladly give $400 if I were looking for one and like atcrider said it's an 82, not an 84.

$200-300 is a good ball park. Does the piston and rings match the bore of the cylinder? Have you ever rebuilt a bottom end? Balanced a crank? There is alot of work to be done, but it is do able. Let us know, post pics of the build.
