got my 350X all together and went out for a shakedown ride. Went to cross a creek and as soon as the water got up above the shifter, it died. When I pulled it back to shore, there was a lot of gas in the airbox. Treated it like it was flooded and it finally started and ran fine after that (no more water).
My carb vent lines were all ran down behind the motor to the back edge of the engine skid, so they were all in the water. Is that what caused it to die? The Honda service manual doesnt show a clear view or drawing of the carb vent lines and thier routing. I'm guessing the line that comes off the left side of the carb is supposed to be up in the air somewhere, it is the only one with no fuel residue on the end. Can someone please help with this.
I also replaced the 2 caps and seals on the left side case over the alternator in case thats what it was.
