ok i haven't been able to get this out in the woods and down to the river bottom yet here in minnesota what i was wondering is

(how is the 250r at a slower speed say under 15mph on hard packed dirt and soft thick dry sand and tight twisty trails???)

i have a 85 dx-225 thats very good on them trails i want to know will the 250R be as good and easy to ride on them tight trails as the Yamaha is??

also i need to know where i can get a plastic gas tank for it 85\86 wont fit clarke mag.com don't have any and they said they didn't know where to get one someone help please thanks

Thanks
Aaron

well, let me try to think back to when my R was stock.........................it had lots of bottom end power, and it was great in trails, just dont go nailin the throttle alot in the tight trails......but try to keep it in high rpm's once in awhile, if you keep it in low rpm's the whole time you will most likely fowl a plug

but now that i got all the mods done to my 84 R (read my signature), its a low-end and top-end beast, it will go through anything u put infront of it (but i do try to not abuse it)

hey, it is still a good bottomend bike stock. But it is still a manuel clutch and those suck on trails but just dont hold the trottle open or even close, they pick up speed fast.

Also you can get a tank from IMS tanks, I bought mine there, great tanks, imsproducts.com
