Im having a hell of a time getting my 83 200e running. Its got a new carb on set to factory settings. It will start and run but I have to baby the throttle to keep it going. It wants to idle but never will, I can turn the idle screw all the way in and it will high rev then slowly fall and stall.:wondering

When riding it, it has good power, but when slowing down to a stop it will idle for a few seconds then stall. Also sometime it will backfire when riding.

I really need help to make this a daily rider that Im not worried about stalling in the woods.

Is your idle jet plugged? You probably should probably clean your carb.

Go up a size or 2 on your Pilot Jet, Set your fuel screw to 1.5 turns out, Different motors Run different. Dose it pop on the Deceleration..? Could be a rusty Mag/stator ...Bad wire ect..

It pops on Acceleration... Like it hesitates then pop and it goes.

The headlight works and so does the electric start.

It could, it sounds like its ignition timing related to me.
