I got the Sasquatch 340 out today, to get a pic of it. There are those of us that say they never existed; or don't exist anymore.

Nice, is that a mower engine?

Oh No, It is a commercial Kawasaki engine. You probably ask that because of the auxiliary pull-start. It is electric start, with pull start back-up. The engine is a monster, in overall size.

They used these rigs in Alaska alot, in the bush. So the pull start was there, if ever they had a battery problem.

Everything is X-TRA heavy duty on these.

atcquebec,

Very nice Sasquatch you have there. Is it restored or did it survive in that condition?

Mine is barn fresh; actually it came off of a dairy farm.

Motorhead,
My Sasquatch have not been restored. The only thing done to it is the foot guard has been painted yellow.
I do have the original ''onner manual and the factory registration card.

Wow it has a similar color scheme to the kawasaki klt 200. Is sasquatch the actual brand or the model? I'm not familar with this machine. What years were they made?

That is a neat rig. The motor is directly below the rider. It looks to be balanced very good. Lots of power with that motor? Front end light? How does it ride? With a snomobile type motor (or is it geared?), looks like it'll climb a tree, that's very cool.

Sorry but this is not a fast trike. OK the engine is 340cc but it's a one cyl, 4 stroke (8.5 hp) with an auto clucth like a snowmobile. It's a very strong trike, well made, and the engine is the same that Jonh Deere used on their 5 wheelers.

Awesome looking trike but is it mainly for work? Can you play on it like you can others or is not really designed for that?

It is designed as a work or exploring machine; not a sport machine. A sport oriented machine will let you break the tires loose with the application of throttle, to slide through a turn or whatever; these machines hook-up too hard to break the tires loose.

They were designed for maximum traction; and they put all the horses to the pavement, no wheel-spin. Google, Snowmobile Clutch Operation, as these use a Salsbury clutch (Comet type clutch).

Oh, it is not slow, top speed is pretty good; but they are built pulling power and easy to use. Just twist the throttle and go, very smooth.

I had mine out yesterday, and was thinking of your question then: I stopped at the bottom of a hill and just added throttle and was really moving at the top of the hill. A normal trike may have spun a little at the bottom; but no wheel-spin, with the Sasquatch. Just like a Snowmobile.

The system works really well.
