Whats up guys. Im new on here but have loved the good ole bikes since i was a kid and have had several since. Now im into 300ft drags and build big bore stroker raptors pushing around 100hp. Well I run across a real clean 86 200x the other day so i picked it up. Im looking into a big piston, port job, big cam and bigger carb. Im a big fan of the FCR carbs, thats all we run on our big motors. Im thinking of running a 28mm or 29mm FCR on my 200x. What do you guys think?

I used to run a 29 FCR on my old 84 racing 200X. I had to fit a boltable flange and make a small "v" on the slide to make it idle but apart from that it was all good.

Yeah i've also looked at that. It shouldnt be a big deal to make it work. What size is a stock 200x carb? 27mm?? Im thinking I could probably easily go to a 30mm FCR without problems.

I put a 27mm PD carb on mine. I don't think that fcr carbs go below 39mm. Mikuni pumpers do, w/ a big carb, I'd be concerned over clearance between carb and gas tank.

The 200x i used have that was in a trx250r chassis used a 32mm electron carb. It was a Tc dual plug motor.

I know they make 35s, we also run them on our raptors. They actually make more torque but less hp than the 39s. But i have googled images of 29mm and 30mm FCRs and seen several pictures of em so im assuming they make them. The guy that does my head porting is a sudco dealer and im having him call tomorrow to see if he can get one..

So 24mm is stock?? Wow thats under sized for a 200cc motor i would think. Im going to try a 28 or 29mm if i can get my hands on one.

Well do man, i hope to get started on it in a few days. I think the little motors have alot of potenial. Im interested to see what it will do with some quaility portwork and good carb. This is what im thinking. Wiseco 10.25:1 66mm piston, full race web cam, full race port, ported intake with 30mm FCR carb.

They do make them in 29. They came as a bank of four carbs off some motorbike. I now remember I had to tap in a fuel inlet connector as well as making a top plate to hold a cable adjuster. They come standard with some lump of a thing on top to hold the bike cable setup.

Pick up one of the FCR's from the honda CRF150r That has a small FCR on it. It would work perfect.
