1985 250r cracked case

buddy has an 85 250R that threw the chain and cracked the case. I've looked all over and can't locate one. Are they THAT hard to find? And if so, how much are they when I do find one?

look to pay $300 plus for a unmolested case,, i have seen repaired ones for $180 ,,, all are good... i have a repaired one and it works just fine.

i payed $320 for a nos case in march and bought another the guy had just in "case". both new with bearings in honda plastic. Look on ebay there are a few of them and some nos or you could pick up a whole motor for around the same price. The last case I cracked I fixed about a year ago and it held good but I couldn't do it cuz it split bad. It's gonna cost ya a little but it's better than parting out the bike and the ebay prices are not that bad right now...good luck

it wasn't the chain Harry it was the landing after a 40ft tripple..the bike can be race ready and tight but big air can take it's toll
