85 and 86 250R shock interchanable

Are the shock mounting holes the same. My 86 shock is bad and was wondering if I could stick the 85 shock in for now

OK thanks is there different parts internally from 85-86. I just finished putting in pivoit bearings for the first time @#$^$#@@#$$ is all I can say now that I did it, its easy. The honda manual is no help for pointers.
