I found a gasket and wonder if anything will come flying out across the gravel driveway when I take it apart??

Assume the starter has to come off?

anything else?

also got a new neutral safety switch and wonder if they ever work or if somethng internal is toasted so the new switch wont help.

thanks

manual 9-4 says to take off starter reduction cover/gears, footpeg,
shifter and MAY have to loosen engine mounts
to clear shift shaft seal

I'll let y'all know if it's really true

manual stated tons of unnecessary stuff to change swing arm bearings so I remain skeptical

The left cover is much easier to take off than the right IMO ... If your frame isnt hacked / welded up around the engine cvradle, you shouldnt have to loosen the engine mounts, it should come off the way it is
