View Full Version : Please help! how do i get this choke cable safely out of my ytm???

hey guys, im wondering how to get this choke cable out of my carb. its a ytm 200e shaft drive the carb is no good so idc about it but i would like to save the choke cable. ive been pb blastering the hell out of it the past week and im kinda stuck now. i have no clue how to get it out. please help!

any info on my trike is also welcomed. got it off the side of road and want to kow how to find out what year it is. thanks again.

Post the VIN off the steering stem, to figure out the year.

What makes the carb "no good"?

Pull the chock lever up then try to pull it out of the carb. It worked for me.

If the carb is junk use a dremel and cut the carb until the cable comes out. I had to cut a carb up to get a slide someone hammered in the wrong way.

there was actually a locknut under the spring. i tried getting it out with an awl, did not work. ended up putting carb on one side of a fence and the choke cable on the other and pulling damnhard. came out just fine and saved my cable. thanks for advice everyone.
