Just wondering, I have a West Marine VHF500 dsc I was thinking of permanently mounting letting my riding buddy use the hand held units.

I have thought about it, wanted to make a big mudder Big Red. But mine just wasn't worth it to do. If I find a big red and some good parts, maybe I will. At least to mount on the racks the utility trikes come with.

If I find racks for a 250SX I may get one.

I was going to mount it to the headlight cage, use switched power and route the antenna coax under the tank and along the frame to the rear and mount the antenna the the flag mount.

Hopefully nothing over 6 to 8 feet, it's only a 250es after all:D Actually its the whole waterproof thing I am interested in and I can't find a decent WP CB or other perm mounted radio.
