I am looking to buy an 85 honda 250, the guy sellin it says it is stuck in a forward low gear and he doesn't know why, hasnt even looked at it but he has a second transmission that should work that would fit he will give me with it, I don't know much about 3 wheelers yet but I am pretty mechanically inclined would this be a relatively easy cheap fix or is it major problems to avoid?

thanks so much

Do you mean it is stuck in 1st gear? What is he asking?

I just rode it, the high low shifter works fine, this transmission definitely has the high low sub transmission, it drives fine but the foot shifter doesn't click when you move it other than that it works great.

Then its not a 200x.

If it has a high-low selector, it is definitely NOT a 200x.

Or at least it don't have the 200x engine in it. How much? What kind of shape besides transmission problems? Can you find pics to compare it to and id it?
