The other day my YT175 drained all its gas out into the engine. Got a new fuel pump but when I install and tested it fuel flows through it without any vacuum. Did I get a junk pump or is there something I am missing?

Bump...anyone. The fuel pump shouldn't let any fuel past with the petcock in the on position?
