Ive got an 83 250r that i want to build to be a beast. ive got the cylinder and head off. Should i bore it out quite a bit to put in a bigger piston or is there any big bore kits available> WHAT CAN I DO TO MAKE THIS THING SCREAM? ANY HELP IS GREATLY APPRECIATED. THANKS, COLLIN

Drop on a CR480 top end, supposedly the cases need to be milled to fit, or just drop in a full CR480 engine.

boring it out to put a bigger piston in it is not necessarily gonna give you more power/speed.... Where you wanna start is by making sure all the bottom end is good (bearings etc...) then have some porting/polishing/head work done to it, get a good high end pipe for it, better reeds etc..... You dont wanna change your bore unless you absolutely have to, the more you do it the sooner it will need a re-sleeve....Unless you go big bore of course but but a built 250 is just as bad ass as a big bore is.....
