Can you use just one engine case? 350x

I'm rebuilding my 350x and want to get rid of my old case that has chain damage. I can get new cases for it or just the left one. Can I use just the left one or should I buy a pair?

LOL..... as long as they did not get damaged on the mating surface you will be fine!

I was just worried as I remember someone on here saying when they rebuilt they had to true the cases once split. Perhaps it was just a very meticulous member...

or possibly they caused damage while splitting them? I dunno though, i could be wrong sorry :-)
