I was going to wait until I was completely finished to start a thread but what the hell I can't wait so here it goes. It's not a super crazy build but it is my first ATC/ATV build.

Here she was when I brought her home. I paid $180

As you can see the paint is shot.

Plastics are pretty thrashed

http://i393.photobucket.com/albums/pp11/Johnny_Be_Good3323/250R/r7.jpg

Nothing was completely bolted and most of the bolts were the wrong ones.
http://i393.photobucket.com/albums/pp11/Johnny_Be_Good3323/250R/r4.jpg

Footpegs are bent so bad that with the rear fender on you cant put your foot on them
http://i393.photobucket.com/albums/pp11/Johnny_Be_Good3323/250R/r6.jpg

Motor was half taken apart and many parts lost.
http://i393.photobucket.com/albums/pp11/Johnny_Be_Good3323/250R/r3.jpg

But I feel like its a good starting point.

I couldn't do much tonight as I waiting on many parts. But I got the tripple tree bearings changed and the new rebuilt front forks on.
http://i393.photobucket.com/albums/pp11/Johnny_Be_Good3323/250R/r9.jpg

Heres one of the new rebuilt front forks with progressive rate springs.
http://i393.photobucket.com/albums/pp11/Johnny_Be_Good3323/250R/r10.jpg

New forks on and everything tightened down.
http://i393.photobucket.com/albums/pp11/Johnny_Be_Good3323/250R/r11.jpg

I need to change the front hub bearings but I threw the old one on there for the sake of pictures

Thats I've got for now but soon I'll have some more progress for y'all tomorrow.

Ya I'm doing a total rebuild unfortuneatly I'm a broke college student with too many bills so I can't go over the top like I'd like too but it WILL look like a totally different machine when I'm down.

LOL I'm thinking so. My best friend has an 85 200x with a 10.25:1 piston an a cam and dg exhaust an it moves real good but this shoul move alot better lol. The motor is gonna be a .030 over bore boysene reeds dg pipe and silencer and an 34mm flatslide carb. Still havent decided how I wanna gear it yet so I guess for now I'll stick with the stock gearing.

Here you can see the dust caps to the swinger. Even they look rough.
http://i393.photobucket.com/albums/pp11/Johnny_Be_Good3323/250R/r18.jpg

Heres what it looks like behind the dust caps.

http://i393.photobucket.com/albums/pp11/Johnny_Be_Good3323/250R/r20.jpg

I also don't have the dustcaps to the wishbone link either.

Previous owner decided to stick the clutch pushrod instead of a bolt. I couldn't believe this.

Got the handle bars painted.
http://i393.photobucket.com/albums/pp11/Johnny_Be_Good3323/250R/r13.jpg

Oh and to top it all off check out the awsome 50 lb. grab bar the previous owner hand on it. Thats my size 13 shoe btw just to show you how big this thing is.
