Big Red for $250

Found a guy local whos selling selling a Big Red, either an 85 or 86. He doesn't know, (why is it that everytime you ask a simple question the other person is completely oblivious). But he wrecked it, and by the looks of the picture he sent. It knocked the headlight off it's mount and and bent the fender down. But that was 2 years ago and he doesn't remember how he wrecked it (again come on). He said after it was wrecked it wouldn't start. He figures it's electrical. Only wants $250 for it, rear fender looks good, so does everything else (though the pic he sent is low res.) Pic above is said pciture. Can't really tell alot.

its an 86 or 87 250ES, with a 200 Tank on it. Frankenbike for sure!

Tell him 250 with the go-cart thrown in (just to see if he'll do it) pressure wash it & armor all, then unload that puppy on CL for 50 to 75$. This will be less money you will have to put into the trike. (if he goes for it) Plus if he can't answer a simple question about year or how it became wrecked you deserve a free cart out of it. ha!

I purchased this machine it is a 1986 model and is complete. The tank is correct the color of the pic makes it look incorrect I have been thinking of parting it out or if someone wants a project it has alot of potential also the home made brush gaurd has already been removed

looks good for that price. That is deffinately not the correct gas tank. As previously stated that is an 84200es tank.

Like previously stated the color of the picture makes the tank look incorrect. in that case the honda red is the incorrect color too. I bought the machine and the tank is correct you cant base everything off of a picture I will try and post the new pics

^^ That is not the correct tank, bud. The decals are all wrong. I know what the 85-88 Big Red decals look like. Why are the side covers off? Because the tank is missing the rings on the bottom of the tank to hold the front corner of the covers... No need to get an attitude, we were just telling you what we are seeing... This is my 85 tank, note the rubber grommet for the side cover at the bottom of the tank, the 85-88 Big Reds all use this tank, with different decals.

Yeah my bad that is the wrong tank I finally got to a computer where I could enlarge the pic because it is super small on my phone attitude not really do you think some hillbilly has never put the wrong decals on before and yes now that you mention it I did notice the clips for the side panels but you didn't have to take my post personally and act like a baby about it

Yep, the decal is from '85 but definitely not a BR tank.

No one is actilng like a baby, just letting you know we know our way around these machines... Just letting you know the sheet metal wasnt correct for the trike, thats all. Hillbillys do all sorts of things wrong, some are easier to spot then others... I have no hard feelings, hope you dont either...
