Please offer some suggestions. My clutch will not completly disengage the trans. Its got new clutch plates, friction plates? and avery nice clutch basket, and the little ball is still in the plunger(i havent managed to lose it yet) and a new clutch cable. I am pretty sure the cable is rigged correctly, the clutch actuator arm is 90 degrees to the engine static. What else should i try?

Sounds like the lever isn't moving enough, either outside or inside. Try adjusting your cable, and see if you can get it to pull the lever any more.

Mine did the same thing. It has been a few years, but I believe the rod that goes throught the motor as well as the one that the clutch cable actuates were worn. You can pull the rod out from the center of the clutch, then the other one should lift out, so you can inspect them. Honda sells a kit (p/n 552675) that will update the linkage with the newer style that uses a thrust bearing instead of the ball. Then you can loose that freakin ball forever.

Warped clutch metal discs ck on surface plate, verify proper fibers + discs and i/e clutch stack height vs know good stocker, grooves in basket tab area, loose or wobbly clutch inner hub. You can keep taking out free play in cable adjusters down to zero and even adjust a little more as a test to see if its discs. ...........
Sorry did you say you had new metals i may have missed that. If so I am a little in the dark as what could be wrong.
