TRAIL PROS!!!

That looks like a cool conversion... No idea how that older 175 compares power wise but I bet it will sound good!

Nice work!

O.k., this ain't fair Ol Deuce. You hardly gave us anything. Is it fast? Or should I say how much faster than the 200 4-stroke? Where are you?, I want to see it bad. How cost effective? What degree of modification are we talking about? Don't be a tease.

Honda~Honda......The blaster is the same design as the Elsinore....... not much to gain 25cc?? the blaster is a forward kick and the Elsinore is a rear kick

Your 200x has low rpm torque and the 175 2-stroke pulls at the higher rpm ,hp of the 200x is app 15 hp the 175 is app 17 hp .The 175 smells and sounds good ! what else ? yes it
seems to have a bit more top-end faster over the 4stroke. The cost to make this change over was $???.?? I always pay too much........but it was worth it ! The degree of modification ?
well ..it was fun! Ol Deuce

ATC175R, has a good sound to it.
Looks sweet. I wonder If you could put a CR450R into a 350X? That would be cool and interesting.

That ATC175R has a nice twist ,I think I should get some decals made up like the first gen, Ha!.and that CR450R should be a good trans-plant! also the Elsinore MT250 would fit just
like this MR175.Honda~Honda. got to be good....any time you can make a trans-plant without the use of a welder the job will last!!

Only the mounts.......The 200x frame was not touched, made the front mount to lift the engine and pull it forward ! the back mount holds the engine up so the center of the drive sprocket is on the same location as the 200x engine..The chassis mounts were just the right width .I put two tabs up and pinched the engine in! the rest was just busy work. The tuner
was from a '79 cr125r, cut to fit and turned it 180! it worked out great.

I have to dig up the pictures of the air tube to the carb. I used a K&N filter and it worked out well. the last part of the build is getting the rear foot brake working !!!!

The last post in this thread is almost two years old. Read the whole thing, it says what the motor is out of.

One of you guys have to toss a blaster motor with a Vito's kit in an 86/87 chassis!

nice bike, but it's no longer a 200x. the X stood for not only motocross type but also 4-stroke. each of the 4 points represents the 4 strokes in a 4-stroke engine. Suck-Sqish-Bang-Blow (hrmm i could make some comments on this. ;) ) By going to a 2-smoker, your no longer a 200x. your a 200r.
