I've found them for between $25-$30. I've heard conflicting info on these and would like to know your opinions and where do you get the increase in power if any low end or top end or is it just throttle response. Any help would be appreciated.

waste of money in my opinion....
I tried it, and took it off within the same hour.

I have one on my Blaster. I noticed a wider powerband in the midrange. I didnt notice any difference in throttle response,I also have other mods on my blaster. Not bad for $30

Thanks for all the feedback Guy's but as you you see I'm still getting conflicting info here too :D :? But thanks for your input 8)

P.S. Thanks for the link TriZ_Jim very informing. Could be why some guys noticed no difference in performance and may also be why im getting conflicting info.

Reed spacers will theoretically widen the powerband by decreasing the turbulence between the induction system and the combustion chamber. To notice this you may need to rejet accordingly, depending on the thickness of the spacer. You don't need the fancy billet one. A polyurethane or composite spacer will do the job just as well, and cost less. Don't expect any sort of real gain, just a little bit of a wider and smoother power delivery.

I noticed no difference, mainly cause Im running a 2001 CR ignition system. My throttle response is a lot faster then a stock R one is, so with my mods it didnt make a difference.. sorry to confuse you with my input. I should of stated all my mods (dont ask.. I forgot most anyhow.. lol)

Not every machine will act the same with one installed. I know for sleds most yamies and some doo's repsond to reed spacers with polaris and cat seeing no real gain.

if you have a pretty modified bike they wont do trailprotrailprotrailprotrailprotrailpro. If it is stock you can feel the trottle response.

Its been a couple of years ago. When I bought my rad valve its seems I needed the spacer for the clearance. Everthings was ported and matched up but I think I needed it.
