I found a Supertrapp on my wife 200m that I cleaned up and moved to my 200x. I have painted everything but I am curious if it is OK to paint the plates in spark arrester? Or better to leave the sanded and clean?

yes because it was pitted pretty bad from rust. I sanded it down but it just looked like sh!t with all the pitted marks. The trap is going on a rider so it will be getting dirty. I have traps on my sons old 90, my 110 and an answer pipe on my 200s (my favorite, love the sound.) The trap was really rusty and pitted but not through. If you want pics I will post them.

That said it is OK to paint the arrester plates?

The arrestor plates are usually stainless and shouldnt be painted . just the end cap and the tail pipe

Pics to ease any minds.. oh and on top it looks like there is a small hole, it is not. It's a bead of sweat dropped on it. (104 yesterday here is oroville ca)
