my dad told me a story about running ATCs in field and that a guy had his feet cut off because it came up over his feet once the front tire passed it. im not sure on the truth about that but barbed isnt piano wire so i couldnt expect those results.

Reading some of the comments, it seems like people think that quads would be safer in that situation..

I like how they forget to mention the redneck breakfast of PBR's and bacon they had earlier in the morning.....

I liked the part at the end " the most dangerous vehicle we got is a 3 wheeler" wow that stuff cracks me up. It had nothing to do with the hill jacks lack of common sense.

Thos shows make them seem so much more dangerous then our babies really are. Lifting wheels off the ground when turning and that messed up flip when he hit the fence.

Don't know how many times I've heard of the same thing happening on sleds, got to be careful if you're in unfamiliar terrain.

The same thing could have happened even on a bicycle

yes or even walking, but my point is that 3wheelers are no more dangerous than dirtbikes or quads, it just seems a percent of the people that ride 3wheelers are dumber than a box of rocks & 9 times out of 10 there the ones not wearing a helment when they need it more than any one else..

I finally found someone who shares trike passion just as much as I (and all of us) do (who lives nearby me). And he agrees that nothing is more dangerous than the other- and he's got the scars to prove it..

Sorry guys but 3-wheelers are a little bit more "dangerous" then a quad to a NEW rider. Obviously not to a person that has riding experience but to a person who has never ridden an offroad vehicle they do tip way more easily then a quad would and we all know that. And that is the reason they got banned, new riders who were not instructed on how to ride and assumed that they could do whatever they wanted and they were "safe." That mixed with alcohol, no helmets or riding double led to the unfortunate demise of our favorite offroad vehicle the ATC. Since the ATC was the first "atv" and you could sit on it without it falling over like a motorcycle and there was no clutch it was assumed that the ATC was easier to ride for new riders which in some cases is not true. I am not saying ATC's are death traps and should be banned, quite the opposite in fact but they do tip and we all know that but we know how to avoid that (leaning, counter steering, etc) that not everyone knows/knew. I wish as much as everyone of you that they were still made and I whole heartedly they were unfairly banned but lets be real, a person on an ATC for the first time is at high risk for tipping.
