headlight prob diagnosed , need some basics please.

the green wire coming out of my ac regulator is burnt in two , so i figure thats my prob.
what caused this ?

green is ground so maybe you had a direct short to ground.

thanks but what could have caused it ? and are the other electronics in danger ?

The regulator prolly shorted on the inside. Did you light bulbs blow also?

no but i dont know if it shorted before or after i put the bulb in cuz i didnt bother checking the wiring before i pluggged the bulb in i obnly noticed the burnt wire when i pulled my fender off to repaint and zip stich
