trx side cases

Are the trx engine cases 86-89 the same as a 86 250r's? I am in need of the left case for a rebuild job I am doing.:rolleyes:

yes 85-89 all the same

^ X2 and condfirmed but they are also discontinued I believe. Maybe you can get a use one easier for a TRX.........................

They aren't identical, but they may as well be. The cut outs for exhaust in the front of the case is different on the 88-89s. Its slotted instead of V'd out, more of the front motor mount bolt is exposed. Other than that, pretty much the same.

I got a nos 88-89 case a few mths ago off ebay it was $325 and the guy had a few so I bought 2. Bearings and all still in the Honda plastic. I thought it was a good deal cuz after buying a few "used" motors off ebay I wanted somthing that wasn't damaged at one time(casesaver bolts are nice). If you want I'll find his Email address...he's outta NY
