1979 110 warm up

just wondering guys how long should it take for my 110 to warm up ? i have to ride or gas up for about 5 min or else it dies out it wont idle and after those 5 min it will idle is this normal or can i change something to speed process up like spark plug,oil etc. thanks guys and how long does it take you guys to warm up your trikes oh also im in southern california not cold here at all 70"s most of the time if not hotter

Perfectly normal I have a couple stock ones still LOL and both take about 5 min before they idle well .

My 83 110 needs a few minutes of riding to warm up completely before it will idle.

The same thing for my old 79 110 engine.

Hmm. My first trike was a 110, maybe I had the idle set high, but it warmed up quickly, even in winter. All I really did was take apart the carb, dip it, clean all parts. Set idle. Didn't shoot forward once put in gear, either???

Edit - Maybe the older points setup was different somehow?
